If versatility is the keyword, Marilyn Manson knows it best and looks like he’s even extended his expertise into real estate. The American singer-songwriter reportedly sold his Hollywood Hills home for $1.83 million just weeks after listing it for $1.75 million. The place got an ill repute initially after singer Phoebe Bridgers alleged that it contained a “rape room” which she got to know about when she visited the place with her friends as a teenager, all big fans of the singer.
The house was listed in the market for sale on October at $1.75 million, which means the singer got a 5% mark up from its initial valuation. This certainly is news both in the media industry as well as real estate business, especially for a mansion that has a room designated as the rape room. The house that Marilyn Manson was selling first made headlines when Phoebe Bridgers made the big Manson reveal that she showed him the “rape room” when she was a teenager.
Bridgers tweeted later, “I went to Marilyn Manson’s house as a teenager with some friends. I was a huge fan. He referred to a room in his house as the “rape room”, I thought it was just his horrible brotherly sense of humor. I stopped being a fan.”
Built in 1923, the Manson house is located on a 0.16-acre lot, covering 2,711 square feet with three bedrooms and bathrooms. It was originally purchased for $ 1.1 million and comes with a vaulted ceiling with an updated kitchen, dining room, and living areas. There is also a corkscrew staircase in the kitchen that leads to the lower level guest suite which has an outdoor entrance. The 52-year-old singer’s Hollywood Hills home features 20-foot beamed ceilings, two master suites with her own tiled baths, and walk-in closets. The 2,711-square-foot property features French doors, wrought iron stair railings, and is surrounded by private patios and gardens. The three-story abode was listed by Jon Grauman and Feroz Taj at The Agency.
The American singer-songwriter, music director and producer was accused of several sexual harassment cases including Evan Rachel Wood and Game of Thrones actress Esme Bianco. He denied all of the allegations, claiming his relationships were ‘entirely consensual.’ He is currently facing three lawsuits from women who allege to have been sexually abused by him in the past, including his ex-girlfriend Ashley Morgan Smithline.
When word got out regarding his continued misbehaviour and ill conduct towards women, especially after a pretty damning report by Rolling Stone magazine who spoke to alleged victims of Manson he decided to quietly sell it off. The accusers and victims claimed he had a small, soundproof glass enclosure called the Bad Girls’ Room in his West Hollywood apartment that he used to lock up women he was dating and that he used the space as a ‘solitary confinement cell, used to psychologically torture women.’
Game of Thrones star, Esme Bianco sued Manson in April, claiming he abused her dating back to 2007, with the lawsuit alleging she, ‘suffered due to the deterioration of her mental health caused by Mr. Warner.’ He was ultimately dropped by his record label, talent agency and his longtime manager Tony Ciulla.
