So when the 37 year old actress dropped off her last name, rather her husband’s surname, Jonas, off her Instagram username, it gave rose to insane amount of speculation on whether the couple could be getting a divorce. However, Priayanka’s mother Madhu Chopra has rubbished all such reports.
The actress, singer and businesswoman met Nick Jonas through a baseball game and mutual friends, with her already making the headlines in Hollywood with the Quantico series and Jonas, bringing out his own music independently. What started out as a whirlwind romance soon morphed into full-fledged love. They sparked off dating rumors when the two attended the 2017 Met Gala together. Both played it pretty coy and kept things low-key. PC even went to claim on Jimmy Kimmel’s show that it was a platonic decision for them to go together and that she was still single. However over the course of the next year, the couple started hanging out more frequently, be it at a Beauty and the Beast Live show at the Hollywood Bowl Friday, a Los Angeles Dodgers game on Saturday, or a boat outing alongside Wilmer Valderrama, Glen Powell, and Chord Overstreet.
They also turned up the heat on Instagram where both would like each other’s pictures and comment on the same as well. They also attend a Jonas’s cousin’s wedding party together and later the pre-engagement party of Rakesh Ambani and his fiancée, Shloka Mehta, in Mumbai. Later, reports made round that the two after two months of passionate dating have decided to tie the knot and get engaged. Reports surface that Chopra and Jonas have matching gold Cartier rings—rings that look a lot like wedding bands with the actress gushing over how Jonas reportedly shut down an entire Tiffany store just to buy Chopra a ring.
They got married around December 2018, with two ceremonies: a traditional Hindu one and a Western one in Jodhpur, India. Two years down and they are already gearing up for their third wedding anniversary and times have never seemed better. In a recent Instagram post that Chopra posted on Diwali, she shared a very sweet message for her husband Nick that went like this, “Our first Diwali in our first home together. This one will always be special,” “Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make this evening so special. You’re my angels.”
Although neither of the two has commented on these rumors or rather fan speculations, insiders, close friends and the actress’ mother herself has shot down the stories as nothing but unfounded rumors. In fact as per reports things have never looked up more for the couple with both enjoying a blissful marriage life with each other and at the same time focusing on their upcoming projects. The actress will next be seen in Keanu Reeves’ ‘Matrix: Ressurections,’ as well as Bollywood movie ‘Jee Le Zaraa,’ which also stars Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt while Nick is reportedly busy with another music video.
