William Abelyan is an Armenian boxer who played boxing professionally in the Super Featherweight division. He is now retired but is considered one of the legendary boxing players of all time.

William Abelyan, more popularly known as William Abelyan was born on September 27, 1978, in Yerevan, Armenia. He, however, is currently residing in Henderson, Nevada, USA. He has Armenian nationality. He was known by his alias The Conqueror during his playing days.

William began boxing at a very young age. He started training with the legendary Olympic Bronze Medalist David Torosyan from the age of 12. William started his professional boxing career in 1998.

William was a very formidable boxer during his career. He took part in a total of 31 fights or bouts during his career, winning 24, losing six, and drawing only one of those fights. William won 13 bouts by KO among those 24 wins.

William made his debut in a match against Jose Antonio Vargas on 1998 February 18, which he lost. His first win came against Alejandro Gonzalez on April 18, 1998. After this win, he went on an unbeaten run of 5 games.

William competed against several legendary boxers like Orlando Salido, Guty Espadas Jr., and Scott Harrison in his career. He defeated Orlando Salido on 2001/03/23 with a scorecard of 11-6-1. He also defeated Guty Espadas Jr on 2001.08.05 with a scorecard of 34-3-0. His career-best 13-games unbeaten run came to an end on 2004.06.19 when he lost against Scott Harrison of the United Kingdom.
