The SpaceX and Tesla CEO had said that the two are “semi-separated” and are on friendly terms. Sources claimed that the duo is still in love and often see each other. The couple has a one-year-old son X Æ A-Xii. Reports claimed that both of them will be co-parenting their child.
The Tesla boss started dating Grimes in 2018. The very year the couple made their appearance at the Met Gala. The famous couple announced the birth of their baby boy in 2020. When Musk shared the name X Æ A-Xii on Twitter, many were confused about the pronunciation.
Elon Musk has stated in justification to their split that his work commitments at SpaceX and Tesla require a lot of travelling overseas or being in Texas, while Grimes’ work primarily is in Los Angeles and had led to the rift between the couple. The duo was last seen at the Met Gala, where Grimes walked into the red carpet alone. Musk also attended the event and joined his girlfriend later. He threw a gorgeous Met Gala after-party at Zero Bond club, where he was enjoying the evening with Grimes and was clicked together leaving New York subsequently.
When the news of Elon Musk and Grimes’ separation was revealed in social media such as Twitter, it started flooding with posts about who gets custody of Baby X. The kid became an instant celebrity on social media after he was named X Æ A-Xii Musk, by his parents.
Besides Baby X, Musk also shares five children with his first wife Justin Wilson in their eight years of marriage. He was also married to “Westworld” actress Talulah Riley twice, first in 2010 and later in 2013, eventually getting divorced in 2016. Musk was also in a brief relationship with popular actress Amber Heard from 2017 to 2018.
As per sources, Elon Musk is committed to being a responsible parent to his child. Also, his mother, Maye Musk is a first-hand help while helping her one-year-old grandson.
