by Sir Rod Stewart, who is married to model Penny Lancaster, 50, has delved into his former romantic relationships in order to write fresh songs for his forthcoming album. Stewart claimed that his new album is primarily about love and sex while discussing the significance of his song One More Time. He also discusses his life in lockdown with his wife, Penny. The 76-year-old stated that his current song, One More Time, was about wanting to sleep with an ex.
“The story behind the song is you know when you break up with somebody and the sex was amazing and you just want to do it one more time?” said Rod. “That’s what the song is about. It’s happened to all of us I’m sure. The songs are more or less about life stories. Unfortunately, a lot of them have got to do with love and sex on this album. Well not, unfortunately, that’s the way I was feeling and they are just things that have happened to me,” he further added talking to BBC Radio 2.
Rod had a run of lovers and relationships before marrying Penny. He has been married three times, first to Alana Stewart, then to Rachel Hunter, and last to Penny. In 2007, he married Penny, who is 26 years younger than Stewart. They have two sons together, Aiden, aged 10, and Alastair, aged 15. Rod is also the father of six of his other kids. The singer went on to say he believes his latest record The Tears of Hercules is his best yet.
