Paige Mackenzie was born under the star sign Aquarius, on 8 February 1983. She was born in Yakima, Washington, to parents Caren, and Hugh Mackenzie. In 2001 the 5-foot-8 completed Eisenhower High School, and she studied at Washington University for her college years. She received a Bachelor of Business degree in 2006.

In both the Washington Junior Golf Association and the Pacific Northwest Golf Association Mackenzie named her the 2000 Girl Golfer of the Year. She had five top-10 finishes during her high school year and also won a title game.
