Celebrities Who Are Obsessed With Their Cats

It’s quite often we see our favourite A-listers adoring and obsessing over their pet cats on their social media handles. What’s more interesting is that these beautiful little celebs know how to flaunt themselves in front of the camera. While some of them have individual accounts on Instagram with millions of followers, others are equally popular like their human owners.

Well, today we will do rounds on 5 such celebrities who are obsessed with their cats.

Celebs obsessed with their cats

Taylor Swift

If there’s a celebrity whose name struck you right when you read the title, we bet it’s none other than the renowned Grammy-winning songstress cum feline enthusiast, Taylor Swift. Her social media is filled to the brim with posts about her beloved cats, Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button.

It’s quite interesting to note that Taytay pays very close attention to detail, adapting the names of her cats from her favourite characters in popular media. Meredith Grey is named after Ellen Pompeo’s character from Grey’s Anatomy, Olivia Benson after Mariska Hargitay’s character from Law & Order: SVU and Benjamin Button comes from Brad Pitt’s character in the film The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.

Her cats rule her online presence from Instagram to TikTok, making it clear that she is 100% a cat lady. In fact, she even starred as “Bombalurina” in the film Cats, which she was inspired to do by her own obsession with felines.

Katy Perry

Yes, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry have more in common than just Bad Blood, olive branches and chart-topping hits. Katy Perry is an avid feline lover and had probably the most iconic name for her cat who passed away in 2014, called Kitty Purry. If that name rings any bells, it’s because it appears on the tag that the tiger from the “Roar” music video wears. Kitty Purry even made a cameo in the music video of one of Katy’s biggest singles, “I Kissed A Girl”.

Besides Kitty, Katy also had another pet cat named “Monkey”. Her obsession with cats has also led her to call her fans, “KatyCats”, a name proudly owned by her fandom.

Mark Ruffalo

The Avengers actor who plays The Incredible Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is as much of a softie at heart as aggressive his character is. Mark Ruffalo is owned by his two feline friends Felix and Inky, who occupy a fairly good portion of his social media posts.

Recently, he has been showing off his new kitten who he calls Biscotti, on his Instagram videos wherein he plays around with her, having a “quality time” according to his captions. He even used a photo of one of his cats to ask people to vote! Without a doubt, Mark is most definitely a cat person through and through.

Ian Somerhalder

Ian is one of the most popular male actors who is loved adamantly by his fans for his irresistible charisma, personality and charm. But the fact that he is a cat dad to many foster kittens just makes him the meowst purrfect. Ian had his first fur baby at the mere age of three, and he named his pet, Tiger. Ian claims Tiger has taught him many life lessons ever since he was three years old.

Now that Ian is a father, he credits taking care of foster kittens giving him the training for taking care of a child. Ian and his wife raise many foster kittens, and as for Ian, there are “endless reasons that compassion for an animal can literally change the course of your life.”

Kat Dennings

What made Max Black so relatable was that her favourite thing to do on the internet was looking up cat photos and videos. Turns out, the actress that played her character isn’t so different in real life either! Kat Dennings is totally a cat lover who sometimes has her Instagram taken over by her adorable cat, Millie.

Kat describes her quality evening to be at her home, chilling and snuggling up next to her cat Millie, instead of making efforts to get out of the house. We couldn’t relate more.
