Pam Dawber is an American actress best known for playing the lead in the sitcom Mork & Mindy. Her lead role in the sitcom was Mindy McConnell. She also appeared in the lead role, Samantha Russell in My Sister Sam.
Pam was born on 18 October 1952 in Detroit, United States of America. She is the oldest among her two sisters. She attended North Farmington High School, where she received her high school diploma. Later, she transferred to Oakland Community College. In college, she primarily focused on modeling and acting. She dropped out of college to pursue a career in modeling. She was a fashion model in New York. Pam was seen in many television commercials in the 1970s before starring as an actor. She tried to get a role in Tabitha by screen-testing but the role was given to Lisa Hartman instead. She was enrolled in the ABC Tvs talent development program. Her spectacular acting skills in the program impressed Gary K Marshal, an actor, director, and producer. He recruited Pam out of the program.
