Jaime King is an American model turned actress who shot to fame through movies like Pearl Harbour and Bulletfree Monk. Born as Jaime King, she used various stage names like James King, a nickname given to her by her parents and Jamie King. Born in the suburbs of Omaha, Nebraska Jaime started her career in the modeling industry at the tender age of 14 and thereafter appeared in a lot of fashion magazines including Vogue and Mademoiselle. She started attending Nancy Bounds’ Studios, a modeling school, and later left high school to pursue the same in New York City.

Her modeling career has been mostly successful and that too at a very young age, starring in all famous magazine covers from Harper’s Bazaar to Seventeen and even Vogue. She joined Company Management, which already represented Jaime Rishar, a more established model, and later appeared in an advertisement for Abercrombie and Fitch. King’s early career in acting was more or less subpar with a few breakthroughs here and there but mostly received a lot of negative feedback from critics and the audience. She starred in Daniel Waters’ comedy Happy Campers, as Pixel and was nominated for Best Actress at the DVD Exclusive Awards. She had her brief moment in the spotlight while filming as Betty Bayer in Pearl Harbour that went to win several academy awards but the fame did not last long. Coming to her personal life, King had a rough time growing up when she got addicted to drugs and had to be rehabilitated. She briefly dated Kid Rock at the age of 21. While filming for Fanboys she met her would-be husband, the director then, Kyle Newman, and following a whirlwind romance, the two got married on November 23, 2007. However it did not last in a happily-ever-after with the couple reportedly splitting up last year, 2020, and King filing a domestic violence prevention petition and temporary restraining order against Newman. They have two sons together.
