Bachelorette star Tayshia Adams reveals why Zac and she broke up, calls herself “heartbroken”.

The Dancing With the Stars winner, Tayshia Adams opened up about her split up from boyfriend and fiancé Zac Clark after almost a year since they got together on the sets the Bachelorette. In an exclusive interview with the stars from the Bachelor nation, The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All, she shared how theirs has been a tough love situation and despite trying to work things out, there was simply something wrong. The show co-hosted by Kaitlyn Bristowe and aired on December 6, saw Kaitlyn commenting on how Adams was missing her engagement ring on her finger that led to the ensuing discussion.

“All I have to say is that I’m heartbroken. But we tried really hard and I still love him very much and I’m not sure what the future holds,” the season 16 Bachelorette shared. “You know how it is, it’s really tough.”

Tayshia immediately after saying this took a moment for herself as she walked off stage when another alum Rodney Mathews came up and re-joined the duo after sometime. The two met through the Bachelorette only where Tayshia was the bride-to-be, looking out for a suitable partner and Zac happened to be a participant in a bid to win her hand. They got together and were reportedly engaged for a year but ultimately had to call it off sometime during November this year due to their clashing schedules and hectic work-life.

According to an insider, the duo realised that their love has run its course and that they called it quits even before planning their marriage. It was a hard breakup for the two since they both shared a nice chemistry and lots of love for each other but ultimately couldn’t seem to make things work.

Adams was first spotted without her ring while taping two “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast episodes, sparking breakup rumours and then again at the House of Gucci premiere which she attended solo in New York City. Even two weeks before their supposed breakup the two were running for the NYC marathon with Zac gushing over how proud he was of Tayshia and her ability to push through adversity.

Remembering the good times the two have spent in the initial days of their relationship surely strike a chord with many. Clark’s proposal to Adams on the sets of the Bachelorette went something like, “I came here because I was supposed to be here, and I came here because I was supposed to fall in love with you, nothing has felt so right my entire life. You’ve helped me experience the love I didn’t know existed … I love you because you are a strong, independent woman, who makes everyone better. I love you because you believe in me.” It went on to become one of the most memorable moments of the bachelorette.

Falling in love outside the production sets and media attention was however something quite different, as Tayshia has come to realise in the following days. There is always a pressure that comes from trying to find love on TV and she has struggled with it outside the set as well.

The  “Clickbait” podcast host said in June, “And it’s so amazing to have the love and support of Bachelor Nation. Because to be honest with you, we go through it kind of together when we’re all watching the show. However, you have to realize that it’s a real relationship behind the scenes.”
